Anchors, screws, plates and meshes made of TisMet® are composed of magnesium and calcium and can be applied similar to titanium or steel in surgical practice. They can be drilled, screwed, fixed and bent according to standard surgical routines.
The key difference: once they have fulfilled their purpose, Tis Met® implants gradually dissolve. Designed to provide effective, patient-friendly support during healing, they naturally absorb over time eliminating the need for later removal and reducing the risk of potential complications later on.
